Tetrahedron is a privately held company created in July 2003 by Jean-Claude YADAN, Irene ERDELMEIER and Marc MOUTET.

Expertise

The Management Team has a shared experience in R&D with more than 25 years in the design and operating management of therapeutic and diagnostic projects, including in particular the Research and Development of new active compounds and patent filing.

Its expertise is at the Chemistry-Biology interface, in Free Radical Biology, Enzymology, Sulphur and Selenium Chemistry. The team has been involved in:

  • The setting-up of assay kits to evaluate antioxidant defenses and markers of oxidative stress, such as glutathione (GSH-400TM), superoxide dismutase (SOD-525TM) and lipid peroxidation (LPO-586TM).
  • The design and development of new antioxidants for the treatment of inflammatory or cardiovascular diseases: 2-thioimidazole analogs, lipid soluble derivatives of ascorbic acid and selenoorganic compounds (Glutathione Peroxidase mimics). For one of these GPx mimics, i.e., BXT-51072, an IND filing has been approved for inflammatory bowel diseases.
